Google data access

The application requests the Google Sheets read-only permission. This permission technically permits reading spreadsheets accessible to the authorized Google account; the application reads only the configured spreadsheet's Transactions and Balance History tabs. It processes transaction dates, amounts, categories and identifiers, and account balances, types, identifiers, and observation dates. Raw imports can also contain other columns supplied by those tabs, including account names and transaction descriptions.

Use and storage

Data is used to produce local household financial snapshots. Raw imports are preserved in a local SQLite archive, and generated reports are stored locally. Normalized account and transaction identifiers are hashed; the raw archive remains sensitive. OAuth tokens are stored in the Windows credential store. The client configuration is kept in a private local folder. Financial data and credentials are excluded from the source repository and this website.

Sharing

The application does not sell Google user data or share it for advertising, credit decisions, or AI model training. Its sync connects to Google to retrieve the authorized spreadsheet. This information website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process visitor IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the site. No application financial data is sent to the website.

Retention and control

Local imports and reports are retained until the owner removes them. Revoking Google access stops future authorized retrieval but does not delete existing local copies. The owner can revoke the connection through Google Account third-party connections, disable the Windows scheduled sync, remove saved credentials, and delete local financial files and any backups. The app does not provide a remote deletion service.

Website tracking

This site includes no analytics scripts, advertisements, forms, or application sign-in. Hosting-provider security and operational processing may still occur.

Google API policy

Lindsey Tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

For privacy questions, contact the app operator directly using the support email shown on the Google consent screen. Material changes to this policy will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
